The Billy Project Juniors is a project for vulnerable and disadvantaged Young females aged 11-18 in Blackburn with Darwen; an area of high social and economic need.

Our core purpose is to implement a series of collaborative health and wellbeing programmes designed by, and for, the local community.

We aim to empower Young females to make positive choices resulting in a fulfilling life for both themselves,  their families and the wider community.

We successfully tackle inequalities as the sessions as are run for those that are vulnerable,

Examples of Young females that participate in services by The Billy Project Juniors include: those suffering from mental health conditions; members of BAME communities; members of the LGBTQ+ community; victims of domestic abuse; and those suffering with substance misuse, to name but a few.

Research clearly shows that physical activity helps protect physical, and mental health. These sessions will prevent inactivity and isolation. Furthermore, creation of this empowering environment where girls mix with people from different communities is especially necessary in this multicultural and diverse community as evidence has shown that lack of social cohesion plays a crucial part in socio-economic issues.

We are committed to amending and extending our current service provision in order to ensure that we are able to adequately meet the needs of our local community.
